And they clothed him in a purple cloak, and twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on him.“ -Mark 15:17 ESV
After the fall, God told Adam that the ground would be cursed and it would bring forth thorns and thistles (Gen. 3:18). When Christ was crowned with thorns, He was taking upon Himself the curse of sin, not just for humanity,but also the curse of Creation. In His death, Christ absorbed the curse and sin. In His resurrection, He defeated sin, death, and the grave, and reversed the curse that had subjected creation to futility (Rom. 8:20-22). It is then with this that we can further understand why Mark records Jesus as commissioning His disciples with a charge to, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” – Mark 16:15 ESV

Great post..
Hello!
it’s true! Jesus Christ took our sin and the curse (that came because of the sin of man), on Him and gave us His Righteousness.
Now, i personaly don’t agree that the course of the earth it’s been taking care of yet…
I made a little study about tithing and the Word shows that everything that comes from the earth containd the taint of the curse on it, therefor, God stablished tithing as a principle to purify (make holy), what we get from the earth and by doing this, we, the Church, will prosper to be able to share the gospel os Christ.(Lev. 27:30; Ro. 11:16)
You and i (born again beleivers), have been made holy (1 Cor. 1:30), but the Word says that the creation “will” be set free from the course of the sin of man (Adam) Ro. 8:19-22
Anyway, i just wanted to share this with you and your visitors and thanks for this posting!
thanks for the info on tithing, i never thought of that. I agree that the creation will be set free, I am postmillennial, and so i believe that, as the old Advent hymn, Joy to the World, goes:
No more let sins and sorrows grow,
Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found,
Far as the curse is found,
Far as, far as, the curse is found.
Thanks bro.
